This bookcase is VERY CHEAPLY made. It looks like it's made out of compressed styrofoam dust. It dosen't look like wood or even particleboard. One of the pieces had it's connector tab broken off in the shipping box. This bookshelf connects together like a puzzle with holes and tabs that fit together, at the end you add screws that just twist in and kinda add sturdiness but it's not stated in the instructions to do so. The screws are just included but not labeled in the instructions. The white pieces are also not labeled so you have to really look at the details in the drawings for instructions. They also provide some rubber strips that I assumed go along the unfinished edge of the shelf but this was also not in the instructions. After I finished building it I had some leftover parts I wasn't sure where they went. The piece that says "I love reading" arrived scuffed but let's be honest, this being in my kids room it's gonna get messed up eventually so whatever. It looks really cute and is a unique design, I just don't think it's worth the price. Maybe if it costed 80$ I would be happier with it but for 179.99$ it just makes me regretful for spending so much... but hey its cute.
