I live in South Florida I have a hurricane structured double car garage door..I started off removing the horizontal braces off of the door removing all the bolts. I then cleaned all the surfaces thoroughly degreaser and again with rubbing alcohol.. I then added the included yellow thin tape all the way around as per the instructions.. I also went to the hardware store and got 3M double sided tape for all the vertical surface spaces. Make sure you use the yellow tape included to go around the edges and on the sides of the doors to catch the edges of the insulation. I installed the tape and waited two days for the tape to dry or bond onto the surface of the door as per the instructions so the Tape would hold. I came back two days later and with the door fully closed and latched down (because the spring is wound up for the extra weight of the bars that I removed) if you don’t do it your door will snap up and twist and bend. Be smart. I rolled out each role using scissors and positioning around the hinges carefully.. after I had a guaranteed fit.. I pulled the tape off and installed each role. I then I trimmed around each hinge so the door could open fully without interference. After I was completely satisfied. I reattached The horizontal hurricane strength bars back onto the door and installed all bolts. It helps the insulation stay in place and holds it all down. I’m extremely happy with it..it’s beautiful! I could tell a 15° difference in my garage since I insulated the door and also the attic.
