This shelving unit is made from very heavy, good quality metal. The slides are heavy duty and glide effortlessly. The whole unit is precision made and goes together effortlessly. It mounts easily and securely. The whole project took only about 40 minutes. One causionary note; the slides are of a soft close type that, when fully pushed in, grabs the shelf and self-closes the last inch or so. Pulling on the shelf to release it when reopening takes a pretty good tug. It's no problem for me but my wife can't manage it. I was able to adjust the racks all the way to the front position so that they would clear the cabinet door but not engage the self closing mechanism and lock. Now my wife loves it.
