Not as bad as I expected but not quite as thick as I was hoping for. It serves it's purpose. Not a typical look for a home but we are doing construction in a very clay filled muddy yard so I really like the long length I got and the practicality of it. I found it slipped a bit on hardwood laminate style flooring with the dogs running around so I did have to put a runner no slip pad underneath it. Had to air it out several days outside to get the chemical smell out, I'm super sensitive and I don't smell it any more but my son did for several days after I aired it out. The backing is pretty thin but I think it will hold up for quite some time. Vacuums nicely with both a floor attachment and regular vacuum head. The price was really too good to be complaining though.....This was exactly what I wanted, and I was able to cut around the molding on my floor and cabinet without a problem, it does not move after it's placed and it's totally perfectJust as described.When I first unwrapped it the thought I had was, oh hell- there's a return. I had thrown away the bathroom rug already so I gave it a chance. My senior kitty had been getting her nails caught in the old one. She can't get her nails stuck in this one or damage it while she's trying to sharpen her claws. It's very light weight and I was concerned that it wouldn't stay in place while vacuuming it. I was wrong again! It stays in place, doesn't snag or run and it's really a nice little rug. I put it in the tub, hosed it down, took a squeegee to it and it dried really fast too. It does shed a little at first but it's not a big deal. Thinking of putting one in the kitchen too. It was so easy to hose down and dried so quickly.these rugs take a beating and keep looking great. Have one in front of the frig and cat feeding station to catch drips/spills and everything just wipes right off. Have second in front of washer/dryer and cat box -- again easy to keep clean and the ribs catch stray bits of kitty litter. Best of all these rugs are easy to cut to size -- a jig out to fit around cabinet/frig/washer etc.The rugs seems ok, but I really wanted 3 x 2 feet. Instead it is 30" x 32". I'll make do with it, but it's not the ideal size/shape for what I had in mind.Overall this product looks good. It feels nice to walk on. I think it will be easy to clean I .have not actually cleaned it yet however it sheds like an old dog. Based on the cost of this product versus the other competitors I still can't complain. Still worth the purchaseI only got them a couple days ago literally.I was pleased as soon as I took them out of the package.Liked:Seems much sturdier than the discount department store type brand like Wally World (Walmart). No comparison to the cheap Dollar store variety mats.I also like the color is dark enough to see against snow easily and the painted surface of my deck.It will also show stains and dirt less due to the dark gray color.I like that gray is a neutral color and does not clash with anything I have on the deck or the color of the house.Dislike?I truly don't know what there is to dislike. Maybe that there are no designer colors?But that's frivolous.If you can worry about fashionable colors on your seasonal anti-slip rugs, then you can afford to have them custom made.Longer review:These uncurl easily and flatten out in a reasonable amount of time.I thought it was well worth the price of two mats to avoid any more falls on my deck.Raised surfaces glaze over with ice as soon as you cross your eyes at them , in the winter.Black ice is nearly invisible.Now I don't need to worry about that.After just two days of enjoying the mats I am confident there will be no more falls on slippery wood this season.I'm not sure about the cleaning part. But they seem like they would stand up to hosing down and scrubbing.The reverse has a kind of nubbly texture.These look like the industrial quality ones you see in apartments and other public places with a lot of inside/ outside traffic.They probably are friendly to pet paws as advertised.They feel kind of plush under my sneakers. Not that stiff abrasive kind of texture you notice on mats when you enter a gas station convenience store for example.They are finished well. The texture does not look like it's going to be trapping debris and salt crystals the way cheap mats do.The reverse has a good gripping texture, and I already noticed that it stays in place despite wind and foot traffic.I wish brown or red had been available, but gray is a neutral color and does not clash with anything. It's probably a better contrast in low light anyway.Yes I recommend it.I have one of the small rectangular mats also and I'm very pleased how it stays put on the linoleum entryway.I'm delighted not to have to fool around with sticking down an entry mat with various kinds of rug tape that never seem to adhere.
