Every single pre-drilled hole lined up perfectly. That never happens! I left the middle shelf out during assembly so I could add an electric fireplace to the center section. It made it a little trickier to assemble since attaching that shelf is one of the first steps and it keeps the side pieces in line until you attach the top. For that reason, it was helpful to have an extra pair of hands. Once fully assembled, it’s pretty rock solid, so the center shelf is not needed for any kind of structural support.I got lots of conflicting answers when I asked for the measurements of the center section, so here’s what they actually are without the shelf:14” deep (but really only 13.5” b/c of the bottom track for the sliding doors. You should figure slightly under 13.5” if you plan to close the doors)27.75” wide24.25” high inside (but the opening is 21” b/c of the top track for the sliding doors)Used the broken pieces because they go on the base, touched up with stain and it’s ok. I think the packaging could be sturdier. Also, the only directions are pictures so I thought I would assemble the broken pieces and then be able to see if it was in fact the base and not some other parts that might be more exposed, luckily, it was the base so I continued building and it’s all good. If the directions were labeled as base or walls, that would have helped. Overall, it’s good enough and looks better than the $219.00 paid.Would have given this five stars but I didn’t receive the correct doors. I ordered the barn doors and it came with the mesh doors. Besides that love this piece, perfect size for our hallway and to hold all of our vinyls! Would recommend. Just wish I received the doors I selected.Love it! Only negative is I wish the hole for the wires was a little lower but…the best part is that the tv box works through the doors so no one will ever need to see the boxes and wires. I also built it by myself and it took under 2 hours.I am a woman, and I can proudly say I built this myself! (:It is beautiful as the picture shows. I get so many compliments when someone comes visit me.It’s the perfect size for my living room and it looks amazing no dents or scratches nothing came damaged. I even had extra parts and pieces.I had no issues with the assembly other than it just took a little more time than I thought. Check all parts for scratches or missing pieces. We were about half way done when we noticed the next piece to install had a small crack in it.This was my first build and very easy to follow instructions. Figured I share a photo, it’s not fully decorated as of yet but would like to share how it looks in the corner with a 55. This is high enough to decorate and possible put Christmas stocking and banners. Love how you can slide barn doors to expose certain shelf’s. Love it!
