Rhino Shelf products are not shipped with lumber for many common-sense reasons: 1. Lumber is available near you with no wait and no additional shipping costs from us. 2. Rhino Shelf assemblies attach to the studs in your wall (or concrete). What if those studs aren't exactly 48 inches apart? No problem for Rhino Shelf! However, if we shipped boards cut to that size, they're wasted if your studs are farther than that. 3. We recommend 2x4s, but 2x6s and other "two by" material works just as well. Customize Rhino Shelf with the lumber that YOU choose and create the solution that YOU need. We recommend 2x4s that are available at your local lumber yard or home improvement store. Choose clear (few knots) boards that are straight (without cupping or bowing). Pro Tip: If available, buy 108-inch boards to reduce scrap.
