I used this board to replace the logic board on my M-4500 garage door opener, which had a couple of bad capacitors. In all, this was an easy replacement, and the board fits perfectly as a direct replacement to the original board. The locations of the wire connections on the board is a bit different from the original, but was easy to match to the wires using the information included with the replacement. The main challenge is with the setup/programming of the new board for the limits of the door and the setting of the transmitter code. The programming steps for the replacement board are different from the original, and the board did not include any programming instructions. In the included Field Replacement Instructions, there is a comment to 'Refer to the included installation manual for operator set up and safety test', but there was no other installation manual included in the shipped replacement.Using the manual from the garage door opener with the original logic board, and using some trial and error, I was able to figure out the programming steps for the new board. After this process, the replacement board now works as expected.
